Welcome to Ghost Eye Mini & Toy Aussies– home of the working cattle dog. We are located in Southwest Sask., Canada. When I decided to get into the mini aussies, I must have looked at every mini aussie breeder on the internet looking for just the right pups to start our program with. I fell in love with a pair of red merle harlequin female pups located @ Tonka’s Australian Shepherds. Both pups were related to Int. Ch. Fish’s Kade & both pups were ear marked to go into Tonya’s breeding program-Thanks so much Tonya for letting me have my girls!! |

Schaffert’s Ghost Eye Gus is the new boy on the block. Tremendous line of dogs in his bloodlines, Gus comes from a litter of 8 in which there were 4 tri pups- 3 were double blue eyed & the 4th had one blue eye. Very Strong line of blue eyed tri aussies. Gus comes from good working & show bloodlines including the great Ch Howard’s Wanagi Ishna-Ghost Eye– Indy. Should mature around 16”. Gus is the proud papa of 2 litters- so far all of his tri pups are double blue eyed! Good looking little rascals if I do say so myself!!! |
|
Ghost Eye Callico Kat- Callie is also a homegrown girl- a daughter of Paris & Wil-born August 21, 2013. Callie gave us a surprise litter this summer with Gus- both of her tri pups are double blue eyed (BET) & her merle pups are very well marked. So pleased with her babies that I am keeping a daughter for our program- Ghost Eye Rawhide N Lace- Lacey- check her out below. Callie is a very well proportioned pup with an awesome temperament- the vet couldn’t get over how well adjusted she was at 6 weeks old. A very pretty girl! |

We have been using our adult dogs on cattle ever since that first fall when our 2 red merle girls stepped off of the plane. They make great partners in the corral & have saved me many steps when moving the calves from pen to pen, or the cows & calves from pasture to pasture. Please check out my site, especially our mini males/females pages to see recent updated pics of our canine family. They have all matured into gorgeous adults! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!!! Thanks - Penny Packet |

Due to Rimfire Katie’s breeder not being able to send us her paper work, I decided to rehome her to her own pet home. Thanks Laura of Sydney, Nova Scotia, for giving Katie a loving family to have & welcoming her to your home. I had a couple of blue merle girls spoken for at Cross K Mini Aussies in Oklahoma, that were to arrive in Canada the first week of April, but John & I just couldn’t get the flights to work out. I lucked out when a past customer sent pics of a couple of litters of pups that she had available. Turns out that the sire is a son of Int/Nat champion Porter’s Black Tie Affair-Armarni– a double blue eyed black tri that stands at Cross K & is out of a daughter of the 2007 Top Toy Aussie– Pockets Pearl of Great Price-”Boo”. The dam of the pup that we chose is from No Limit Mini Aussies in Arkansas & is also by a blue eyed black tri. Some really great lines of dogs went into producing this little girl. Overgaards Ghost Eye Skye arrived in Sask., Canada the 3rd week in May-2014.Thanks so much Teresa! I’ve been wanting a girl with Armarni’s bloodline for over a year now, just couldn’t seem to get one! Skye is a real sweetheart & has fit in with the clan as if she had been born here. |

I found my pick girl early 2012 in Kansas- out of a double blue eyed red tri & sired by a Multi Champion blue eyed blue merle. Just about had her bought, but Jessie decided to keep her for her own program. — So the hunt was on once more- found another girl that met most of my criteria- Rimfire Katy from Sylvia at Rimfire Kennels in Oregon. She has a 50/50 chance of being red factored-fingers crossed. She is a gorgeous blue eyed blue merle girl with dark copper markings. Can’t wait to see how she crosses with Wil. Fall of 2012 ,I had one of our pups that had to fly to Houston, Texas so was checking the internet to see what was available & came across Jessie Holzmeister’s site once more. She had a pretty blue merle pup available, but I thought she might get too big for my program. While inquiring about the pup, Jessie mentioned that the original pup that I had wanted was available as she wasn’t going to get as big as they were wanting for their program, but was exactly what I was wanting for mine. So a big Welcome to Cedar Crests Ghost Eye Jessie. She is like a mini Katie & will only mature to 13-14” . |

Ghost Eye Molly MaGee is another homegrown girl we are adding to our program-born April 1, 2013- a pup from Hip & Wil’s litter. Very pretty girl with solid bone & gorgeous copper. A laid back personality, one blue eye & one amber eye. Strong carrier of the blue eyed tri gene. I’ve been wanting to keep a red merle female pup of Wil’s & now I finally have one. Can’t wait to cross her on Jack & our new boy Gus! |

A second generation Ghost Eye pup -a homegrown girl- Ghost Eye Rawhide N Lace- Lacey. She is a daughter of Callie & Gus. Both of the tri pups in her litter are double blue eyed! Lacey will be carrying 2 of our male lines & has matured approx. 14”. Born June 2014. |

I finally found our little man @ Peace Creek Mini Aussies in Florida. I just want to say Charlotte that Jack is doing a fine job for us –Thanks! There were 3 double blue eyed tri’s out of 4 in Jack’s litter. So he should throw very strong genetically for the blue eyed tri gene. At this point in time every litter that Jack has sired there has been at least one tri pup with a blue eye. So far he has also fathered 3 double blue eyed tri pups & his daughter-Bandit -also produced one in her First litter. Of course, once you have an aussie or two it is never enough, so I was on the hunt again. Due to Jack not being red factored, we could never have red pups , I had my eye on another line of dogs that had caught my eye. I fell in love with a double blue eyed red tri at Kalypso Kennels– International Champion Kalypso Arizona Blue Eyes. |
|
After finding my girls the hunt was on to find the ideal male to cross them on. He had to be a double blue eyed tri from good working bloodlines. In my search I kept going back to a certain bloodline– Ch Howard’s Wanagi Ishna-Ghost Eye– Indy. That line seemed to be the strongest line in passing on the blue eyed tri’s & some of the top breeders had that line in their programs– Timberline, Celebritywards, Shurdan Creek, Overland, Peace Creek, Brassy Acres among others. |

Being the internet Junky that I have turned into due to my fascination with the mini aussie, I cruised the web looking for a double blue eyed red tri related to her. In 2011, I came upon a young red pup whose father was a full brother of Kalypso’s Arizona Blue Eyes. Wasn’t real sure at the time if he was the one or not-got his breeder to send a few pics-then ended up just sitting tight. |

|
Late into the fall, once things started slowing down again, I went to cruising again & came upon the same male pup-still for sale. Got Robin to email updated pics & that is all it took to know that I had the right pup to put into my program. Just check out him out on our Mini Male page-he has grown up to be just gorgeous! With the addition of Wil from Schaffert’s Mini Aussies in Nebraska I was on the look out for some red factored blue merle females. Had to have those ice blue eyes, full collar, bright copper, blue eyed tri’s in their background ,put together right conformationally & have good herding instincts. I looked at a lot of web sites that fall wanting to have a female pup flown into Calgary at the same time that Wil was coming, but just didn’t find the right girl to add to my program. The next spring our older female Hip & Jack gave me my first home grown girl-Ghost Eye Bandit. A beautiful blue eyed blue harlequin girl that has so much herding instinct that she can hardly contain herself. I’m hoping to book her & me in for some herding lessons with a trainer this fall. I am really wanting to be able to show this girl in some trials in the future. |

This blue eyed blue merle flew into Calgary, Alberta Canada from West Virginia- RCF Ghost Eyes Blue Virginia -Gin- August 2014. Her sire has some lines that I have been wanting to add to my program. Her dam is bred like our black tri male- Jack. I was looking for a boy, but ended up with a baby girl instead. |

|
This baby girl is a homegrown girl from Jessie/Wil’s Xmas litter 2014. Ghost Eye Spur’s Got Some Bling- Spur is a beautiful blue eyed blue merle with a tremendous bloodline. Has matured to be a toy aussie- 11” tall & under 10lbs @ 9 months old! All 3 of these young girls carry strong BET (blue eyed tri) lines & I am really excited to be added them to the clan. You can check out more info on these girls on our female mini aussie page. |

|
Spinner - Wild Oaks Ima Lil Texas- a double blue eyed black tri Toy Australian Shepherd, flew in to Canada from California in Feb. 2015. Comes from some real strong standard working lines on the topside & some great toy lines on the bottom side. A lot of BET lines. His sire, Tonka’s Eze On The Eyez, was exported to Germany & a lot of this bloodline have been registered as AKC -American Miniature Shepherd- so there won’t be a lot of this bloodline available as Mini Aussie anymore! |

|
Blue - Ghost Eye’s Too Blue- a double blue eyed black tri Miniature Australian Shepherd, is a homegrown girl out of Paris’s last litter & her sire is Jack- Born April 11, 2015. A gorgeous little girl- I’m thinking she is going to end up around 15”. Will have very strong herding instincts along with good conformation & a terrific disposition. Blue is living with a co-own family so I’ll have to wait for updated pics/info. just like everyone else! |

The fall of 2015 has brought about some changes for our program. We have retired a few of our dogs, our 2 original girls- Hippy & Paris & our boy Gus. Hippy stayed with us & gets to help out more with cattle, which is her #1 all time favorite pastime. Paris was adopted to a couple who farm near Hawarden, Sask., & is enjoying ruling the roost! I managed to find a great family home for Gus in Edmonton, Alberta, where he has 4 teenagers to play with & has already called the couch as his spot in the house! Zane- Faith Farms Ghost Eye’s Inzanely Blue- was brought in from Texas to replace Gus in our program. Born June 17, 2015, he is just a young fella, but hopefully we’ll get to see some babies by him in the summer of 2016. Should mature around 16”, nice solid boy with the nicest personality. His grandma is the beautiful Int. Ch. Kalypso’s Arizona Blue Eyes (pictured near the top of this page!) |

With the retirement of Hip & Paris, I was hoping for a red merle female pup from Jessie’s summer litter, but no luck, so the search was on. Came upon a gorgeous lil gal down in Washington. I had been keeping an eye on Flocks Mini Aussie’s web site since they had acquired a double blue eyed red tri male that I had enquired about. When I spotted “Rimfires Pursuit of Perfection” I fell in love & had been waiting for her to have some puppies available that would fit in my program. A big welcome to Ruby-Flocks Ghost Eye’s Mustang Ruby! Born June 18, 2015. Beautiful girl with great conformation. Also decided to add her half sister Libby- Flocks Ghost Eye’s Liberty Blue- who is by the same sire but out of Int. Ch. Ferrari’s Mercy Me. A smaller girl, with more of a petite frame. As our 2014 X-mas baby had developed- Spur- Ghost Eye Spur’s Got Some Bling-I’ve absolutely fell in love with her. She has only matured to 11” & is under 10lbs. After much consideration, I have decided to add a toy line to our program. I believe I have found a couple of girls that should really give us a great start to our new program. |

|
Annie-Adorable Aussies Ghost Eye Pistol Annie-is a cute red merle toy aussie coming to us from Florida. She has a lot of good toy breeding behind her & her dam is a blue eyed black tri. Born Sept. 8, 2015. Hadn’t planned on getting another pup quite so soon, but when I spotted Haley- Lil Aussie Town’s Ghost Eye Haley- I just couldn’t say no! A red factored blue merle toy aussie who has a very impressive lineup of BET toy aussies in her bloodlines. Haley comes from Missouri- born Sept. 13, 2015. Both of these girls should mature around 11-12” & weigh between 8-15lbs full grown. Excited to see these 2 girls in person! Pups always look way bigger in their photos- these baby girls are going to be tiny!!! |
