Hey there, Welcome to Packet Ranch’s web site. We are located in Southwest Saskatchewan, Canada– right off of the #1 hwy half way between Moose Jaw & Swift Current—right in the Vermillion Hills. We run a working cattle ranch & usually have between 600—800 cow/calf pairs. |

We also raise top quality Miniature Australian Shepherds, otherwise known as Mini Aussies. They have been imported from around the United States for their bloodlines, conformation, genes, dispositions & their awesome work ethic. We are very proud of our dogs & are just loving the pups that they have been producing. These dogs love to work cattle & are just so plain smart that they are a joy to have around. Anyone who has one will tell you that you just can’t have just one mini, so consider yourself warned !!! |

All of our Adults are health tested for the Full DNA Health panel & we are also in the midst of testing everyone for the M Locus & S Locus genes. Another test that we are currently testing for is CDDY and IVVD Risk with or without CDPR as this has been popping up as a problem in some MAS programs around the world. So far our dogs that we have received the results on have come back negative, but I am wanting to make sure that I “KNOW” if it is something that we have or not. All of the DNA tests are done thru PawPrint Genetics in the USA. Our dogs are also have their Hips/Elbows & Patellas officially graded with OFA. If you are dealing with a breeder that “says” they have their parents x-rayed & only graded by their vet~ RUN!!! A typical vet is not trained to read your dogs x-rays for dysplasia….which is WHY you MUST sent them into the OFA office for grading. If you go to our Male/Female pages, you can click on any of our dogs Pedigree button to go to their personal page to access their test results/5 generation bloodlines as well as additional photos of them.
